A Lion in Love
A lion once wandered out of the forest and saw the beautiful daughter of a farmer working in her field. He fell in love with her at the very first sight. One day, the lion approached the girl’s father and asked for her hand in marriage. The farmer was surprised to see a lion approaching him with a proposal for his daughter’s hand in marriage. But he could not decline his offer outright. He said to the lion. “My daughter does not like your claws and teeth. First go and have them removed, and only then she will marry you.”
The love lorn lion immediately had his teeth and claws removed.
But when the toothless and clawless lion came back to marry his sweetheart, he was badly beaten by girl’s family members and driven away.
What harm could the poor lion do without teeth and claws?
