Our Village
The name of our village is Ram Nagar. It is in the district of Haridwar, Uttarakhand. It is a nice village by the Holy River Ganga. Almost four thousand people live in our village and of these people are farmers. They cultivate land and grow rice, jute, oil- seeds etc. There is a small village market in the southern end of the village. Some villagers are day labourers and some other is petty businessman. Most of them are uneducated and half-educated. They are poor. A few of them are educated and wealthy. There are a primary school, a non govt. high school and the head office of a N.G.O. in our village. There is a harmonious relation among the people of our village. They lead a simple and happy life. So I am proud of our village.
