Anna Rajam Malhotra
Anna Rajam Malhotra, 1927- , civil servant. Born at Calicut, in Kerala, she was the first woman to qualify in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1950. She was posted as the sub-divisional officer in a small town in Tamil Nadu in 1951, and later rose to the rank of an under-secretary in the Government of India.
