Fatima Fakh-un-Nissa
Fatima or Fakh-un-Nissa, fl. mid 18th cent., wife of Hyder Ali of Mysore. Daughter of Mir Muin-ud-Din, a governor of Cuddapah, she married Hyder Ali of Mysore, after the death of his first wife. When she became pregnant, she and her husband prayed at the tomb of Tipu Sultan Aulia at Arcot, and when a son was born to them (20 November 1750) he was named Tipu Sultan.
