Ruh Parwar Agha

Ruh Parwar Agha, 1378, Bahinani princess. Sister of Sultan Ala-ud-Din Mujahid, who was murdered by his cousin, Daud, in 1378, she swore to revenge her murdered brother and refused to compromise in the accession of Daud to the Bahmani throne. She prevailed upon Bakah, a slave, to murder the usurper who stabbed Daud when he was offering prayers at the great mosque of Gulbarga fort (21 May 1378). She also caused his eldest son, San jar, to be blinded to prevent his accession to the throne, and her uncle Muharnad Shah II became the new ruler with her concurrence.
