Vladimir Horowitz
Vladimir Horowitz, (1904-89). Russian pianist. A student at Kiev Conservatory, he performed acclaimed recitals in Leningrad (1924), followed by extensive tours of Europe and the US. In 1933 he married the daughter of the conductor Toscanini and in 1944 became a naturalized US citizen.
