Paolo Uccello

Paolo Uccello,  real name Paolo di Dono (1397-1475). Florentine painter. He experimented with perspective and geometry in his works, some of which have features of abstract design. His best-known paintings are the three-part Battle of San Romano, in which he made much use of gold for decorative purposes, and the highly original Hunt in a Forest at Night.
