A R Rahman
Allah Rakha Rahman was born on the 6th of January 1966 in Chennai, India. He is a great composer, music director, music producer, lyricist, musician as well as a very good singer. He is credited for raising the standard levels of music composition of Indian films which increased the popularity of Indian film music world wide.By the year 2003, A.R. Rahman has become one of the top 10 all-time highest selling recording artists in the world. Till then, over 200 millions of his cassettes and 100 million records of his film soundtracks have been sold worldwide. Beside film, he has also performed in many other projects. In 1997, on the eve of the 50th anniversary of Indian independence he made an album named ‘Vande Mataram’ which was very successful.
