Mrigavati

Mrigavati, 599-527 B.C., Jaina nun. Wife of King Satanika of Kausambi, she was reputed to be very beautiful, and tempted by her beauty Pradyota, the king of Ujjain, attacked her kingdom. She herself led the army when the King died during the battle, but later consented to go with Pradyota on the condition that he will built a fort around Kausambi. This was done, but she declared her intention to become a nun and was initiated into the order by Mahavira himself.
