Pele
Pele, real name Edson Arantes do Nascimento (1940- ). Brazilian footballer, regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. Born into a poor Black family, he played for the Sao Paulo team and Santos as inside left and goal scorer. He played for Brazil in four World Cup competitions (1958-70), three of which Brazil won, and scored two goals in the 1958 final at the age of 17.
