P.G. Wodehouse

P.G. Wodehouse, (1881-1975). British novelist. Although his first works were school stories and romances, in 1913 he began writing the huniorous novels and short stories for which he is famous. His stories usually feature members of the English gentry involved in farcical situations. Two of his most popular characters are Bertie Wooster and his manservant Jeeves, who first appeared in The Man with Two Left Feet (1917) and made their last appearance in Much Obliged, Jeeves (1971). Wodehouse lived mostly abroad
