Democracy is the government of the people, by the people, for the people
Democracy is the order of the day. All great countries have democratic forms of govt. Even small countries are going for democracy. The latest case is that of Nepal where kingship was set aside by the people’s power and democracy was restored. Abraham Lincoln was a great prophetic who gave this concept. The entire world is after it and democracy is the most popular form of govt. These days. This type of govt reflects people’s will and it is for them and by them which no power in the world can challenge. Take the case of India. After every general election, there is a considerable change in government. People vote for new faces every time who can fulfill their wishes. Indian democracy can thus be described in true terms ‘Democracy is Government of the people, By the People, For the people.’
