Rani Kishori
Rani Kishori, alias Hasi , fl. 1753-61, Rani of Bundelkhand. Wife c, of Surajmal, the Jat ruler of Bundelkhand, she was reputed to be a shrewd and wise woman whose advice was always sought by her husband. Through her diplomacy she was able to save Kumbher from the Marathas who had invaded the territory in January 1754. She and her husband later gave succour to the Mahratha fugitives who had escaped the great carnage at Panipat (Jan. 1761), and were returning through her territory.
