Ratan Shastri
Ratan Shastri, 1912- , political and social worker. Wife of Pt. Hiralal Shastri of Taipur, she was a very prominent political worker in the cause of freedom movement in Indian States, particularly in Rajasthan. She also took part in the Quit India Movement of 1942. She had also been associated with many educational and charitable activities in Rajasthan, and was awarded Padama Shree (1955) and Padama Bhushan (1975).
