Uma Nehru
Uma Nehru, 1882, political and social worker. One of the-founders of the All India Women’s Conference, she was born at Agra on 8 April 1882, and was very intimately connected with many civil and political organizations of U.P., including the Home Rule League and the Congress. She was also imprisoned many times for participating in the civil disobedience movements.
