Avoid sentence fragments, too.

A sentence fragment is a group of words that is intended to be a sentence but that is missing either the subject or the predicate.

The following “sentence” is missing a subject:

Bounced up and down. (What bounced? We don’t know.) The following “sentence” is missing a predicate:

The tallest tree in the woods. (What did the tree do? We don’t know.)
