Rama Devi
Rama Devi, 1899. social and political worker. Born in a well-known family of Cuttack (Orissa) she was married in 1914 to Gopabandhu Choudhury, a government officer who resigned his job to join the Non-Cooperation Movement. She also took to national activities and participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement during the 1930s. She was arrested in 1942 and released only in 1944. She was also a great social worker for the cause of Harijan uplift and the advises.
