How is the moon different from the Earth?

There are many differences between Moon and the Earth. Moon is a natural satellite of Earth revolving around it whereas Earth is a planet revolving around the Sun. Moon is much smaller than the Earth and is devoid of an atmosphere. Its surface is uneven and rocky with only traces of frozen water. Such condition are unsuitable for life. The Earth, on the other hand, supports life and has an atmosphere of its own. Water is in abundance on the earth. The moon has a very weak gravitational force which is one- sixth of that of earth’s gravitational force.
