How is the Net different from The Web?

The Internet or simply Net is a large-scale computer network spanning the whole world. Actually, it is a network of computer networks where, a computer network is an interconnection of two or more autonomous computers.

The Web which is also referred to as the World Wide Web (WWW) is the set of services available on the Internet which allow the users at one place of the world to access resources form computers situated at another place of the world, through an interactive Graphical User In-terface (GUI). The resources may include text files and non-text , files like 3D graphics, images, sound, video and other multimedia files. The Web uses many types of protocols (set of rules) to provide these services, the most common protocol being Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP).
