Prabhavati Devi
Prabhavati Devi, 1906-73, political and social worker. Daughter of Kishore Prasad of Bihar, an associate of Mahatma Gandhi, she was the wife of Jayaprakash Narayan. She worked closely with Kamla Nehru, the wife of Jawaharlal Nehru, in Allahabad, during the Civil Disobedience Movement, in 1931. She later joined the ashram of Mahatma Gandhi.
